Short Hair for Women

Whenever we see women without long hair, a sense of confidence usually surrounds them. The opposite of long hair reflects self-assurance and makes a statement wherever you go. Just for the simple fact that there isn't long flowing hair to hide behind. Short hair lets the world know you're in control.

There are many benefits with rocking a short haircut. Such as...
- It's usually healthier than longer hair that is more susceptible to damaged ends.

- It's brings out the younger side of us all.
- It's bold and sexy.
- It's easy to manage for the women on the go.
- Women with fine hair will benefit from a short haircut because you can have chunky layers throughout to give a sense of full, thick hair.

If you're considering taking the leap into the sassy world of short hair, go for it! Change is good for all of us from time to time. Our hair is our focal point so making a drastic change from long to short hair will bring you that change you are looking for. Short hair will leave you feeling fresh, new and best of all give you the confidence to conquer the world. Be bold, be beautiful, be you.

Today's women are very independent and constantly on the go. So keeping a short hairstyle makes a lot of sense. Styling a short hairstyle is quick and easy. Sometimes your hairstyle is the last thing a busy women wants to think about...so keep it short and sweet.

African American Hair Care Products

Because African American hair is prone to dryness and breakage, it is essential that you invest in some quality hair care products that were designed precisely for your hair.

Shea butter is an absolute must for African Americans. It is a great moisturizer for your hair, but did you know it works very well on your skin too? It is absorbed quickly into the skin and is best if it is applied twice a day. Oils By Nature makes a great shea butter and their products are made from natural and organic ingredients.

If your hair is chemically treated, you'll need to deep condition your hair at least once a month. I especially like Treasured Locks' Deep V Conditioner. It is scented with jojoba and vanilla and works wonderfully well especially when activated by heat.

If you have braids or dreadlocks, I recommend African Pride Braid Sheen spray with extra shine. This spray softens, shines and moisturizes your braids and can be used every day on your scalp to curtail the frizzies.

Carol's Daughter (request a catalog to see all of her products) makes a fantastic line of hair care products for African Americans. Her products have been featured on Oprah Winfrey's show and are simply wonderful. My favorite is Tui leave in conditioner. The tui oil conditions and hydrates your scalp and is scented with lavender and mango for exotic smelling hair.

Blended Beauty has an entire line of products created for kinky curls, Afros and relaxed hair. Happy Nappy Styles is one of Blended Beauty's products and it dries soft and is never greasy. Many people have recommended this product to me and is suitable for use on children too.

The right brush is essential for caring for your African American hair. The Kakakiki KombBrush was created with rounded-tines so that it would not get tangled and break the hair. All you need to do is moisturize and put the brush through your hair. It gently massages your scalp, which helps to stimulate hair growth.

Tips How To ReGrow Black Hair Fast

How to grow black hair fast is the big question on every Afro Caribbean's minds especially with so much hair extensions and wigs around these days, no wonder most people just go for the easy option and wear wigs. Well! I am going list 7 tips yo can use to grow black hair fast starting today.

1. The first step to grow black hair fast is to get a trim on a regular basis. You want to get a trim every six to eight weeks to get rid of Fragilitis crinium other wise known as split ends that normally stagnant the hair from flourishing.

2. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. This is very important, you need to grow healthy long hair. Taking in more water the better the condition of your hair. Staying hydrated will make your hair grow shiny and replenish.

3. Eat healthy food, avoid junk such as greasy, sugary and fatty food. Grilled or stir fried options are much better. Also having multi vitamins and lots of fruits and vegetable will increase the hair growth rapidly.

4. Apply oil and moisture to your hair and scalp, regularly massaging the scalp. Massage your scalp at least 5 to seven minutes per day using a excellent pomade like Mizani range. This will encourage the follicles to produce new hair and lengthen the existing ones. Mizani butter blend is also excellent on black hair if you have a relaxer.

5. Style your hair loose most of the time, tight hairstyles will stress the hair and cause traction alopecia, try not to pull and tug too much that will damage the hair and slow down the growing process. Loose plaits and cornrows is OK but remove them and replace instead of keeping it for long periods.

6. Shampoo the hair weekly with moisture base products and have deep conditioning treatment every two to four weeks. Avoid using hot irons and hair straighteners on a regular basis, as too much heat will dehydrate the hair and make it very brittle and even cause breakage. If you have a chemically treated hair, then wrap it smooth and cover with a silk scarf for maximum control.

7. Using Mizani butter blend range is one of the best way to grow black hair fast. This is all moisture base which promotes hair growth and helps hair stay healthy and strong. It has all the necessary oils and moisture need to allow afro hair to grow longer and faster.
